Volunteer Match is an internet database system that stores list of persons or organizations who wants to reach out and serve the needy. Volunteer Match keep their profiles and makes them available in the internet so those in need can easily meet and identify these willing benefactors.
Volunteer Match also supports non-profit community organizations (mostly charitable institutions) by providing them web presence through posting of their profiles. These organizations in turn gives us real-time and first-hand data of their activities which eventually turn out to be the 'opportunities' that our volunteers are looking for.
How does it work?
Volunteer Match works in three ways: one, identify the volunteers; two, identify beneficiaries; and, three, bridge the gap using the internet.
Each Volunteer Match member is entitled to post himself as a volunteer. He can do it only once. The same account entitles the same person to post information about his organization. Again, we allow just one organization space per one quezon.gov.ph account.
Posting of 'opportunities' however can be done many times. By 'opportunities' we mean the 'need' by which individuals (a volunteer) or companies may opportune to grab.
