POPULATION GROWTH
The annual growth rate of the province from 1995 to 2000 is 1.90%. The growth of this period is much lower than for 1990-1995 which is 2.40%. If the annual growth rate of the province continues, population will be doubled in 24 years.
Pressure of population mostly concentrates on urban areas for every municipality. If the doubling population continues given the growth rate scenario, the province can still accommodate it only that bigger problems regarding social services will have to be addressed. |
