Said trainings were attended by OPPDC staff, to wit: Engr. Ryam DJ. Tolentino, Ms. Renee T. Lagos, Mr. Ismael S. Daleon and Ms. Josephine B. Quisao and Ms. Flores P. Cabana from the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office.

Engr. Ryam DJ. Tolentino and Ms. Renee T. Lagos of OPPDC works on the Mapshop during Disaster Assessment Training using REDAS Software held at Island Cove, Kawit, Cavite.
The training on DRA-I aims to equip the participants with the skill and knowledge to operate the new software called REDAS and the upgraded version of GIS Arcview software, the ArcMap 9.3. REDAS enables the user to simulate the highest probable magnitude or susceptibility level it could inflict on a particular area within the country. ArcMap 9.3, on the other hand, is a higher version of Arcview used in creating maps with corresponding attributes that shows different features of the map. DRA-II dealt with the integration of Disaster Risk Reduction in the Provincial Development and Physical Framework Plan. Quezon was chosen to present its output during DRA II representing Region IV-A. The province has already come up with its Provincial Hazard Profile which is now in the finalization stage.
