Mandates & Functions
Objective/Role:
The QPEEU, primarily viewed and envisaged as the structural, operational and functional pillar of the Provincial Government as a viable economic enterprise aims to develop, initiate, innovative and introduce the Quezon Convention Center, the Bulwagan Kalilayan , Alcala Sports Complex, Quezon Fitness Gym and Wellness Center, Quezon Rural Development Academy, Progressive Action for Rural Development (PARUDEV) and the Quezon Provincial and District Hospitals as the center and converging point in promoting, advertising and instilling the province’ indomitable spirit in championing our local indigenous talents and those who excel or found fame internationally in the field of arts and letters, music, scientific, technological, medical discoveries and progress inclusive of advancement and sports as well as athletic prowess.
Duties, Functions and Responsibilities:
Originally crafted as a “revenue generating and source unit” the QPEEU shall be task principally, to undertake and launch a revenue enhancement program to make the Quezon Convention Center, Bulwagang Kalilayan, Alcala Sports Complex, Quezon Fitness Gym and Wellness Center, Progressive Action for Rural Development (PARUDEV), Quezon Provincial and District Hospitals an income generating, business venture of the Quezon Provincial Government by making them self-reliant, self-supporting and financially independent relative to their maintenance and operation;
Specifically, the QPEEU shall base on the principle of competitiveness, affordability and responsibility shall be responsible in fixing the rental rates, fees and other payments for the use of the facilities, appurtenances, adjuncts and amenities offered to both public and private sector.
