The functional mission of the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist is to transform agriculture in the province into a dynamic, progressive and business- oriented agricultural sector, capable of sustaining rapid economic development while ensuring a healthy habitat for the welfare of the members of the communities. This can be attained through the empowerment of rural-based organization, development of entrepreneurial skills among farm women, farmers, fisherfolks and the rural youth, and promotion of a systematic, balanced, integrated and complementary utilization, management and conservation of physical and natural for sustainable agricultural development of the province.
