DTI-Quezon has continuously conducted year-round activities that are intended to empower and educate consumers. DTI believes in the dicturm “a well-informed and vigilant consumer is the best protected consumer.”
The office has already conducted lecture/briefings about the Eight (8) Basic Consumer Rights and Five (5) Consumer Responsibilities. Fair Trade Laws like price tag, price act, business name, no return no exchange policy, and product standards were discussed to increase awareness of consumers on how should they be treated by businessmen.
About 1,352 individuals have participated in the lecture/briefing series including students, public school principals, barangay leaders, SK federation and other public officials.
Quezon-Lucena Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. (QLCCI) recently forged ties with the Quezon Provincial Government and the Department of Trade and Industry to organize, showcase, and stage the 1st Quezon Business Conference- or simply called 1QBC.
