The Provincial Government of Quezon confer the town of Mauban with a total amount of Php 3,297,840.00 which is to be used for the continuation of the Supplementary Feeding Program in the said area. Quezon Governor David “Jayjay” C. Suarez formally handed the check for the said fund last October 19 at the municipal gymnasium inMauban, which was witnessed by parents, day care workers, and officials of LGUs.
The children expressed their creativity by showing to Gov. Suarez toys that they themselves made out of recyclable materials, such as softdrink caps, newspaper, cans, and others. Some of the toys that the children made were a toy boat made of wood, a dog made from bottle caps, and a dollhouse made of newspaper.
Gov. Suarez was very impressed and happy at the creativeness of the children. He doubled the PhpPhp 36,000.00 cash prize for the recycled toys toPhp 72,000.00 and gave Php 47,000.00 for all the day care centers in the town of Mauban. According to the good governor, the talents of the youth should be helped to grow and develop. Their creativity should be, first and foremost, be encouraged and honed by their parents and teachers.
Gov. Suarez also attended the inauguration of a Php500,000.00Multi-Purpose Pavement or covered court at Brgy. Bagong Bayan.
In the message of Barangay CaptainBartolome Corona, he said that the residents are very thankful for the new covered court the Provincial Government gave their barangay – particularly the resident basketball players, because they no longer need to go to other places to play or practice. Barangay Captain Corona also thanked the Father of Quezon for the continued help and support he gives his constituents. (QUEZON PIO)
