Calabarzon Gender and Development Convention, Isasagawa

Nakatakdang magsagawa ng tatlong araw na 4th Regional Gender and Development Convention ang Regional Development Council – Subcommittee on Gender and Development sa October 15 – 17, 2014 sa Queen Margarette Hotel, Brgy. Domoit sa lungsod ng Lucena.

 

Ang naturang convention na may temang “CALABARZON’s Commitment to Gender Responsive Governance: Beyond Compliance” ay may layuning iparating sa mga kalahok ang mga pinakabago at mahahalagang impormasyon tungkol sa Gender and Development (GAD), Tools for Gender Responsive Governance at Current and Emerging Gender Issues and Concerns.

 

Kabilang sa mga tatalakayin dito ay Gender Orientation, GAD Plan and Budget Guidelines, Gender Analysis and Tools, GAD Fund Audit Guidelines, Weeeemen as Decision Makers-Providing Heart-Based Leadership in Global Family at Gender, Migration and Role Reversal.

 

Gayundin, ang Gender Dimensions ng Infrastructure Sector na pangungunahan ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH)Economic Sector ng National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA)Disaster Risk Reduction – Climate Change Adaptation ng Office of the Civil Defense (OCD) atTourism ng Department of Tourism.

 

Ito ay dadaluhan ng mga miyembro ng Gender and Development Focal Point System, budget officer, planning officer, accountants at auditors ng mga regional line agencies, local government units (LGU), state universities at colleges at iba pang higher education institutions, private sector at civil society organizations.

 

Isasagawa din sa naturang convention ang pagpaparangal sa mga Outstanding City/Municipal Gender Focal Person System sa lalawigan ng Quezon na pangungunahan nina Governor David “Jay-Jay” C. Suarez at Provincial GAD Focal Person Ofelia Palayan.

 

Ang naturang convention ay pangungunahan ng Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) at National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) sa pakikipagtulungan ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ng Quezon. (Reygan Mantilla-Quezon PIO)
