The distributed goats, one male and five females, were given by Serbisyong Suarez for Agriculture to help the residents gain additional sources of income and at the same time promulgate the specie. After two years, the town is expected to return 13 kids to the provincial government – which will then be distributed to other communities within the province.
The health coupons can be used to pay for medical expense in public hospitals within the province, as well as in purchasing medicine. According to Perez Mayor Santiago Evangelista, the provincial government’s health coupon system has helped a lot of fellow Quezonians receive medical attention even if they have financial difficulties. Since they do not need to worry about money, they can have their illnesses checked out and treated quickly at the starting stages. Because of that, the risk of serious diseases is lowered.
Chief of Staff Webster Letargo and Provincial Agriculturist Roberto Gajo said that the projects by Gov. David Suarez were researchedand studied well to ensure their success. The barangay captains were also reminded to be fair in providing help to their constituents, especially in giving out the health coupons that were distributed to their town.(QUEZON PIO)
