Unisan, Quezon –3rd District Congressman Danilo Suarez announced the construction of water treatment facilities for the towns in Bondoc Peninsula last Saturday, February 9, 2013.
According to Cong. Suarez, the municipalities of Unisan and San Andres, Quezon will be the first two to receive the infrastructure project.
The water that will be processed in the plants will be distributed to the Quezonians in the said district for free, using the new “water coupons” – a nod to the LingapKalusugansa Barangay Health Coupons – that will be provided to barangay officials for dissemination.
The method, Cong. Suarez said, would ensure that even the poorest of the poor will benefit from the project.
Quezon Governor David “Jayjay” Suarez added that the aptly called “Salin Tubig Program” is part of the provincial government’s long-term plan under Serbisyong Suarez for Health.
The young governor stressed the importance of clean, potable water in avoiding diseases, urging Quezonians to keep a proactive stance when it comes to issues regarding their health. (Quezon PIO)
