The Provincial Government of Quezon, through the efforts of the Provincial Government Environment and Natural Resources Office, continue to monitor the status of implemented programs. As environmental projects and programs are rarely one-shot arrangements, to ensure their success, constant observation and continued implementation of guidelines are needed.
In the Flag Raising Ceremony last November 12 held at the Capitol Building, Provincial Administrator Rommel Edaño said that PG-ENRO continues to keep a close eye on its projects, particularly in monitoring the mangrove propagules in the coastlines of the province that were planted during the historic Quezon’s 2-in-1 last June 30. PA Edaño added that the Solid Waste Management Systemfor the province’s municipalities is also underway, after it has been proven effective and possible to implement in the departments that make up the Provincial Government. All these undertakings are to ensure that the environment and natural resources of Quezon are protected for a secure future.
The Provincial Library was also given recognition as the Outstanding Provincial Library of the Philippines for 2012 by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, National Library of the Philippines at Philippine Librarians Association Inc. the awarding ceremony was held at NLP Auditorium, Manila, where Provincial Librarian Ismaelinda Cabana personally received the award last November 5, 2012.
