The Provincial Government, through initiative of the good governor of Quezon, Gov. David “Jayjay” C. Suarez, provided a hundred E-tablets to the students of Quezon Science High School last October 5, 2012.
The e-tablet was donated to the students with the purpose of giving them a means to keep up with the modernizing trends in technology as well as in studying. With the e-tablet, the students’ research time can be made faster and efficient.
In the message of Glen Cuya, a second year student from QSHS, he remembered when Gov. Suarez promised them the e-tablet and he was happy that the governor followed through. He and his fellow students expressed their utmost gratitude and assured Gov. Suarez that they will take care of the gift he imparted them with and will use it with the intention of improving their performance in school.
A first year student, Daniella Antonia Rivera, also gave a message thanking the Provincial Government for its generosity. “We hope and pray that you will continue to lead our province towards greater heights. Your program of helping the youth and uplifting the quality of education by spearheading the creation and continuous operation of QSHS is worthy of emulation and adoration,” Rivera added, addressing Gov. Suarez.
Through investing in the minds of the students, the future will see them grow into leaders in various fields. After her speech, Rivera asked her fellow students to stand up and thank Gov. Suarez.
Gov. Suarez and the Provincial Government continue to give support to programs under the Serbisyong Suarez sa Edukasyon, not only in QSHS but also in other public schools within the province. Students and the Serbisyong Suarez Scholars are close to the heart of the hardworking governor, which is why he makes sure that their needs will be provided for as soon as possible. Last August, a ground breaking ceremony for a new dormitory in QSHS was held. Computer laboratories and day care centers are also continued to be constructed for public schools n Quezon. (Quezon PIO)
