Choose Your Right Career!
Finding the kind of work that suite you begin with choosing the kind of career you want. It should be the career that matches your qualifications, has the potential to help you advance in the career ladder and, most of all, will give you the greatest satisfaction and happiness.
However, there are a lot of people who start their careers without really knowing what they actually want. Are you one of them? The process of choosing a career isn't that easy, but it two simple steps.
First, you need to find out what your interests, likes and dislikes, attitudes and dispositions are along with other things that make up your personality. Know yourself well enough to see what you really want in life.
Second, study the different career options available today and see if it's consistent with your interests in life and if it also gives you the kind of fulfillment you want to achieve later on.
If you keep in mind these two steps as you determine the kind of career you want, you're sure to get that dream job meant for you.
But first, let's get some words clearly defined as we encounter them throughout this book: job, occupation and career. Job refers to a particular position in a particular firm or company; occupation refers to the specific line of work that has under it several kinds of jobs; and career refers to all the jobs a person has held as well as his or her occupational work history.
